Introduction

Department 406 of the National Aerospace University 'Kharkiv Aviation Institute' respects your privacy. This site is an informational resource and does not collect personal data for commercial purposes. This policy explains what technical data is processed for site functionality.

How we store data

The site uses two data storage mechanisms:

1. LocalStorage (always active)

We store in your browser (LocalStorage): selected theme (light/dark), language (Ukrainian/English), and your analytics consent choice. This data is stored ONLY on your device, never transmitted to our servers or anywhere else. This is not cookies — it's browser local storage for preserving your preferences.

2. Firebase Cookies (require consent)

ONLY after your consent, Firebase Analytics (Google service) sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*, etc.) to collect anonymous statistics: pages viewed, time spent, device type. These cookies are set by Google, not by us. Data is processed on Google servers (USA/EU) according to their privacy policy and GDPR standards. You can revoke consent or clear cookies in browser settings.

Where data is stored and who has access

Analytics data is processed through Firebase Analytics (Google LLC, USA) according to their privacy policy. Firebase automatically anonymizes IP addresses and complies with GDPR standards. Data is stored on Google Cloud Platform servers with encryption. We do NOT sell, transfer, or provide access to your data to third parties (except Google for analytics). Theme and language settings are stored only locally on your device and are never transmitted to the server.
